ITALY – SCM Group, a global leader in woodworking machinery and technology, has announced that Fabrizio Anzalone will take over as manager of its subsidiaries in the United States, Canada, and Mexico starting May 6.

USA – IMA Schelling USA simplifies the purchase of used machines with the launch of its new website, usedimaschelling.com, featuring factory-certified refurbished machines.

ITALY – Pietro Gheller, previously Product & Markets Director, is now the Director of SCM Wood Division, taking over from Luigi De Vito, who continues as General Manager.

GERMANY – The Homag Group (Schopfloch) has completed its acquisition of System TM,  by purchasing the remaining 20 percent of shares at the beginning of April 2024.

CHINA – In the final quarter of 2023, the German-based company Homag, a leading provider of integrated solutions for the woodworking industry, secured a substantial order from China’s Luli Wood Industry.

GERMANY – Prior to Holz-Handwerk 2024, Weinig signed a contract to take over the grinding machine program of Stähle-Hess GmbH.

ITALY – In 2023, Scm Group emerged as one of the leading Italian companies in patent applications, as revealed by data from the Epo Patent Index compiled by the European Patent Office and reported by Milano Finanza.

GERMANY – The Homag Technology Days, held from March 12 to 14 in Holzbronn, showcased cutting-edge technologies for precise panel dividing and intuitive panel handling in furniture production, timber construction, and trade.

GERMANY – For the first time, the Dürr Group has been awarded the highest honor, a platinum medal, in the EcoVadis sustainability assessment, placing the engineering firm among the top 1% of rated companies.

ITALY – Biesse Group – a leader in technology for the processing of wood among other materials – has communicated the financial results for 2023, the financial year closed with sales revenues of EUR 785 million, down 4.6% compared to the EUR 822.43 million obtained the previous year.

USA – Stiles Machinery named Barry Kellar as its new President to oversee all North American operations of the Homag Group, which includes over 650 employees across Stiles Machinery, Homag Canada, and Homag Machinery North America.

GERMANY – In order to conserve resources, IMA Schelling reconditions its used machines and offers them again as “second-hand machines”. This applies to machines for wood processing as well as for metals and plastics.
