ITALY – Italian SCM Group has finalized the acquisition of USA-based DMS (Diversified Machine Systems) located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

U.S. – The U.S. subsidiary of the Weinig Group, which includes the German Weinig and Holz-Her brands, is opening a new location in Anaheim, California.

ITALY – Automation through integrated robotics will be at the center of the “Smart&Human Factory” event that will be held from January 31 to February 2, 2019 at the Technology Center of the SCM headquarters in Rimini.

GERMANY – Homag Group had a very good 3Q-2018 as sales grew 8.4% to € 331.6 million compared to € 305.8 in the 3Q-2017. But in the first nine months of the year sales have fallen short of expectations, rising by only 3.7% to € 937.3 million (9M-2017: € 903.8 million).

ITALY – The Biesse Group, a global leader in the production of woodworking machinery, reported sales of € 164.8 million, EBITDA of € 17.4 million and a net profit of € 6.3 million in 3Q-2018. Compared to the 3Q-2017, sales were down by 1.4%, EBITDA fell 29.7% and net profit dropped by 41.9%.

ITALY – The new range of morbidelli’s top-performing CN drilling solutions, with higher finishing quality, precision and productivity, is to be launched on 19 and 20 October at the SCM Technology Center in Rimini during the “Drilling Is No Longer Boring” event.

GERMANY – The Dürr AG Supervisory Board has appointed Pekka Paasivaara (57), CEO of Dürr’s subsidiary Homag Group AG, to be a member of the Dürr AG Board of Management with effect from January 1, 2019.

SPAIN – Biesse Iberica, the Spanish subsidiary of the Biesse Group, has expanded its Showroom with an additional 275m2, reinforcing the group’s confidence in the Iberian Peninsula market.

GERMANY – Homag Plattenaufteiltechnik GmbH and Anthon GmbHhave signed a framework cooperation agreement and plan to cooperate closely in the panel dividing segment. They aim to expand their own product ranges and fulfill their customers’ requirements even better.
