ITALY – The global crisis following the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic outside of China impacted on the activities of the Biesse Group.

ITALY – SCM, in full compliance with the safety health protocols, set out to restart with production and operations activities.

THAILAND – On March 14, a Siempelkamp system for OSB at Vanachai in Thailand was accepted, which is a success story in several respects.

ITALY – Due to the COVID-19 health crisis which is affecting European countries and the rest of the world with increasing criticality, SCM Group has opted not to take part in the up-and-coming edition of Holz-Handwerk which had already been postponed until 16-19 June 2020 as a result of this problem.

ITALY – Biesse Group continues to guarantee its full range of services as it applies  the urgent measures designed to contain COVID-19 issued in Italy on Sunday, 22 March, as well as similar laws adopted in countries where the group operates.

ITALY – Biesse Group is implementing the Decreto della Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri (the official statement from the Italian Prime Minister) published on Sunday 8 March 2020 tightening the measures for the containment of the spread of Coronavirus.

GERMANY – Homag Group AG and 3Tec automation GmbH & Co. KG have signed a cooperation agreement and intend to work closely together in future. The aim is to achieve optimum software integration of machines from different manufacturers.

ITALY – The Biesse Group of Italy, a leading global manufacturer of machinery and technology and whose activity is divided into three divisions: Wood, Glass – Stone and Mechatronics, reported preliminary results for the 2019 financial year.

ALGERIA – In El Tarf, Algeria, assembly is underway on the first continuous wood-based panel plant in North Africa. BIGSTAR subsidiary Panneaux d’Algérie commissioned Dieffenbacher to supply the complete MDF plant. The first board will be produced in August 2020.

GERMANY – Leuco offers the first groove with 8.5 mm cutting width for CNC machines. Until now, this width was often only achieved with a 5 mm groove in two work steps. Leuco’s innovation now makes grooving faster and the tool life is also doubled.
