Lowe’s net earnings up 26% in 2Q-2013
U.S. (Notifix) – Lowe’s Companies, the world’s second largest home improvement retailer, reported net earnings of USD 941 million for the quarter ended August 2, 2013, a 26.0% increase over the same period a year ago.
Falabella Group will invest USD 200 million in Peru this year
PERU (Notifix) – Sandro Solari, CEO of Falabella Holding, announced in an interview with Diario Gestion of Perú, the Company’s intend to invest during 2013 the sum of USD 200 million to expand its presence in the country.

U.S. (Notifix) – The Home Depot, the world’s largest home improvement retailer, reported sales of USD 22.5 billion for the second quarter of fiscal 2013. Total sales increased 9.5 percent from the second quarter of fiscal 2012.
Lowe’s Plans to Acquire 72 Orchard Supply Hardware Stores
U.S. (Notifix).-Lowe’s, the world’s second largest home improvement retailer, announced on August 12th, further progress in its plans to acquire the majority of assets of Orchard Supply Hardware, including 72 stores, for approximately $205 million in cash, plus the assumption of payables owed to nearly all of Orchard’s supplier partners, subject to Bankruptcy Court approval.
New Maestro store in Lima, completes 28 in the country
PERU (Notifix.) – Maestro, the chain building materials and home improvement stores opened its 28th store in the country. The new store is located in the Ventanilla district, north of the Peruvian capital.
Falabella Group profit grows 12.6% in Q2-2013
CHILE (Notifix.) – Falabella Group reached a consolidated net income in the second quarter 2013 of USD 208 million, an increase of 12.6% compared to the same period of 2012.
