GERMANY – Since August 1, 2020, the RAL geographical guarantee of origin “Furniture Made in Germany” (RAL-RG 0191) has been used by consumers as a decision-making aid when buying furniture.

UNITED KINGDOM – MillerKnoll is progressing to reduce its carbon footprint from operations and products by 50% by 2030. One of the ways the company plans to meet this goal is by investing in renewable energy.

GERMANY – Maja Mobelwerk, a prominent German ready-to-assemble (RTA) furniture manufacturer headquartered in Wittichenau, has declared its intention to cease production by the end of December 2023.

CANADA – Dorel Industries, one of the largest canadian furniture manufacturers, announced that it recently experienced a network security incident resulting in an unauthorized third-party gaining access to certain of Dorel’s systems.

GERMANY – Nolte Küchen has been Germany’s favourite kitchen brand since 2015 – and now for the third time in succession.

DENMARK – Less than two years after Tvilum, Denmark’s largest furniture manufacturer, acquired the furniture factory in Kjellerup from Steens Group, the company is closing down production.

ITALY – In its recent study ‘Top 200 Furniture Manufacturers Worldwide’, CSIL listed the largest companies in terms of furniture turnover.

USA – HNI Corporation and Kimball International, Inc. announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement under which HNI will acquire all the outstanding shares of Kimball International in a cash and stock transaction valued at approximately USD 485 million.
