U.S. – Masonite International Corporation announced that it has completed the acquisition of USA Wood Door (“USA”). USA is a wholesaler and fabricator of architectural and commercial wood doors in the Eastern United States.

SWEDEN – Worldwide sales of IKEA Group amounted to a total of 31,900 million euros at the end of fiscal year 2015 (September 1, 2014 to August 31, 2015), growth of 11.2%. Same store sales (SSS) growth was 5.1%.

CANADA – Canadian furniture manufacturer Dorel Industries Inc. announced results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2015. 

DENMARK – Danish furniture group BoConcept has so far predominantly been operating in the market for domestic furniture and interior design, but recently, the group has also supplied furniture for an increasing number of interior design projects in areas such as hotels, meeting rooms, lounges and furnished apartments, Wood Supply writes.

U.S. – Door manufacturer Masonite International Corporation reported a net sales drop of 2.8% to USD 476.4 million in the three months ended June 28, 2015, from USD 490.2 million in the comparable period of 2014. 

U.S. – Masonite International Corporation, the world’s leading door manufacturer with headquarters in Tampa, Florida announced two acquisitions in the UK and the the sale of Premdor, S.A.S. (“Premdor”), its door business in France.

DENMARK – The Danish major producer of flat-packed furniture, Tvilum, has after some turbulent years now found the recipe for renewed earnings, according to Danish newspaper Midtjyllands Avis. 

CHILE – This past month of May, 24 wood industry SMEs of the regions of Biobio and Araucania in Chile were certified in Clean Production by the National Clean Production Council. 

ITALY – According to a recent survey carried out by CSIL on a sample of European manufacturers, the penetration of acoustic solutions in the office furniture business is expected to expand significantly during the next years.

SWEDEN – The Nobia Group, one of the main global kitchen furniture manufacturers, reported sales of SEK 3,251 billion, an improvement of more than 20% compared to the same period last year.
