FRANCE – Ikea Industry AB, part of the Inter Ikea Group, has accepted the takeover offer made at the end of September by P3G Industries, the Parisot and CFP owner, for the chipboard plant in Lure trading under Ikea Industry France SAS.

BRAZIL – Todeschini one of Brazil’s leading furniture manufacturers – with sales of BRL 407 million in 2017- was among the companies included in the 500 Maiores do Sul ranking, the largest and most complete business ranking of the country’s southern region.

SWEDEN – Another European manufacturer signs agreement with Välinge for use of its award winning Threespine® click furniture assembly technology. This time the turn was for TNC-Components, one of the largest furniture and component producers in Estonia, who has signed a license agreement with Välinge Innovation for the use of Threespine® click furniture technology.

ITALY – After one year from the launch of the new Catas-Cosmob “Made in Italy” certification, the result is verey favourable: six productions have been certified, involving some of the most important Italian furniture manufacturing companies.

COLOMBIA – In August, Colombian wooden furniture exports maintained their upward trend registered throughout the year, reaching USD 3.6 million against the USD 2.4 million registered in August 2017, a sharp increase of 51.1%.

BRAZIL – Furniture exports from the Bento Gonçalves, Brazil (RS) continue to improve performance in the first nine months (9M) of 2018. From January to September, compared to the same period last year, exports grew by 8.9%, from USD 26 million to USD 28 million.

BRAZIL – Moveis Bartira, a Via Varejo Group company located in São Caetano, SP, suddenly dismissed 300 employees, the equivalent of a work shift or 19% of its workers.

AUSTRIA –In the first half of 2018 Austria as a whole produced and sold furniture totaling 957.4 million euros.

GERMANY – The biggest investment project in its history has officially started at Häcker, one of the largest kitchens manufacturers in Germany.

COLOMBIA – Colombian wooden furniture exports maintained a good growth rate in July 2018, totaling USD 2.6 million, which represented a growth of 12.3% compared to July 2017 (USD 2.3 million).
