COLOMBIA – The leading Colombian furniture manufacturer, RTA Muebles, completed the expansion of its production facility located in Yumbo, Valle del Cauca.

COLOMBIA – Colombian wooden furniture exports grew 37.7% in the first four months of 2019 (4M-2019) and reached USD 13.60 million compared to USD 9.88 million in 4M-2018.

U.S. – American Woodmark Corporation, the country’s second largest kitchen cabinet manufacturer, announced results for its fourth fiscal quarter and current fiscal year, which ended April 30, 2019.

GERMANY – On May 4th Nobilia, the largest Kitchen Furniture Manufacturer in Europe, started the construction of its new factory in Saarlouis, Germany. This is the start of the foundation works – the prelude to several planned construction phases.

FRANCE – On May 10th a French commercial court chose Nowy Styl Group’s offer to become an investor in Majencia, a producer of office furniture in bankruptcy. Nowy Styl will take over plants in Noyon and Bressuire, France and hire most of Majencia’s staff.

SWEDEN – After nine years as CEO of Nobia, one of Europe’s largest kitchen specialists, Morten Falkenberg is stepping down from his position at the company.
