USA – American Woodmark Corporation, one of the world’s largest cabinet manufacturers, announced results for its third fiscal quarter ended January 31, 2021. Net sales for the third fiscal quarter increased USD 36.2 million, or 9.1%, to USD 432.0 million, compared with the same quarter of the prior fiscal year.

GERMANY- Despite extraordinary challenges as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, Nobilia, the world’s largest manufacturer of kitchen cabinets, returned to growth last year and thus continued its successful course.

GERMANY – In the 2020 financial year, Häcker Kitchens, one of the largest kitchen furniture manufactures in Germany, achieved a sales increase of 4.9% to EUR 646 million (2019: EUR 616 million). With this positive result, the successful development of recent years has continued.

COLOMBIA – In the October – December 2020 period (4Q-2020), Colombia exported wooden furniture for USD 11.85 million, which represents a strong improvement of 31.9 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, when wooden furniture exports reached USD 8.98 million.

The kitchen manufacturer Ballerina-Küchen from Rödinghausen was the 50th company to receive the RAL award for its furniture programs, which stands for quality furniture from German production.

BRAZIL – The announcement by the Argentine government of the return of the non-automatic import license on furniture, as well as the shortening from 180 to 90 days of the validity period and the delay in approving these permits, created a surprise to the sector.

GERMANY – The Association of the German Furniture Industry (VDM) has a new president: The general assembly elected Elmar Duffner in a video conference as Michael Stiehl’s successor.

COLOMBIA – In the July – September 2020 period (3Q-2020), Colombia exported wooden furniture for USD 11.16 million, which translates into a strong improvement of 42 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, when exports of wooden furniture reached USD 7.85 million.
