CHILE – Arauco, a world leader in the production composite wood panels, reported a very favorable third quarter against exchange rate uncertainty in some of its most important Latin American markets. These results are in line with the positive development of its businesses in the first nine months of 2018.
BRAZIL – In the third quarter of 2018 (3Q-2018) Eucatex reported wood division sales of BRL 244.2 million, a 9.4% increase compared to the same period of the previous year. This growth was mainly due to the performance of the export market and price increases.
CHINA – Linyi Huan Ge Co., LTD, Chinese manufacturer of MDF panels ordered in September 2018 a complete forming and press line for the production of MDF panels. The scope of supply includes a 28.8 m x 9’ ContiRoll® press.
BRAZIL – Duratex, the largest wooden panel manufacturer in Brazil, reported consolidated net sales for the third quarter of BRL 1,512.5 million, reflecting a 48.4% growth compared to the same period of last year.
BRAZIL – On October 23, Floraplac’s new expansion, the Green Line, produced its first MDF board.
ARGENTINA – In the month of the 1st anniversary in Argentina, Egger reinforces its commitment to the community of Concordia by joining as main sponsor of the sixth edition of the race “Crossing of Salto Grande”, the largest adventure race in the region. This activity is part of the global Egger Runs program.
U.S. – This past September Egger officially began its Lexington, N.C. apprenticeship program. The program, developed in partnership with Davidson County Community College (DCCC) is a key part of EGGER’s effort to develop a highly skilled workforce for its new facility in Lexington while reinvesting in the local community.
CHILE – The Arauco Plant Modernization and Expansion Project (MAPA) marked a new milestone: the start of the implementation phase. Reached thanks to the signing of two purchase contracts to acquire the equipment that will be the heart of the new production line.
CANADA / CHILE – In the first semester (1S) of 2018 the Canadian wood panel manufacturer Norbord and the Chilean forestry company Arauco stood out among their peers when recording the best performance figures of the Notifix® Index.
ARGENTINA – Egger Group announces the creation of its new America Division under the direction of Luciano Tiburzi, who currently heads the management team of Egger Argentina.
SPAIN – Garnica, the international leader in the production of plywood panels from sustainable plantations and forests based in La Rioja, confirmed its intention to build a new factory in Troyes, France.
GERMANY – The Pfleiderer Group reported first half (1H) 2018 sales revenues of EUR 533.2 million, an increase of 6.5% compared to same period 2017 (EUR 506.0 million).
