CHILE – Masisa’s consolidated sales revenues in the first quarter of the year (1Q-2019) amounted to USD 117.5 million, which is equivalent to a decrease of 16.3% or USD 22.9 million with respect to the first quarter of 2018 (USD 140.3 million).

CHILE – Net income for Arauco, one of the world’s largest forestry companies, reached USD 126.1 million in 1Q-2019, a 36.2% or USD 71.6 million decrease compared to the first quarter of 2018.

BRAZIL – In the first quarter of the year Eucatex reported sales for BRL 356.6, growth of 17.3% when compared to BRL 303.9 million in the same period of the previous year. The activities of Eucatex are grouped into two divisions, Paintings (paints and varnishes) and Wood.

U.S. – Arauco held on April 16th a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its state-of-the-art particleboard and lamination facility in Grayling, Michigan. With an investment of USD 450 million and an 800,000 m3 annual capacity, Grayling is the most modern particleboard plant of its kind in the world, the largest in the United States and is, in turn, the largest Chilean investment in North America.
