FINLAND – Koskisen is a Finnish wood industry company producing sawn timber and panel products, such as birch plywood and particleboard for the furniture, and construction industries.

CHILE – Masisa, a Chile-based producer and marketer of wood products, reported excellent results for the first half of 2022 (6M-2022).

AUSTRALIA – Borg Manufacturing succesfully produced its first board on the new MDF plant made by Siempelkamp.

CANADA – The management of Tafisa Canada announced the appointment of Mr. Pierre-Luc Bérubé as Vice-President Sales and Marketing effective August 15.

CHILE – Arauco, one of the world’s largest wood-based panel manufacturers, reported that sales revenues reached USD 1,867.1 million during the second quarter of 2022 (2Q-2022), an increase of 20.0 percent compared to 2Q-2021 (USD 1,556.6 million).

BRASIL – Eucatex, one of the largest manufacturers of wood panels in Brazil, with operations also in the paint, varnish, laminated flooring and doors segments, announced its results for the 2nd quarter of 2022 (2Q-2022).

MEXICO – Proteak, Mexico’s largest forestry company, reported results for the second quarter of 2022 (2Q-2022).

BRAZIL – Dexco, the largest wooden panel manufacturer in Brazil, ended the second quarter of the year (2Q-2022) with a rise of 12.1% in Net Revenue versus the same period in 2021, mainly arising from sustaining prices and improving the product mix, factors which were sufficient to offset the fall in sales seen over the period.

TURKEY – In June, Kastamonu Entegre, one of the largest wooden panel manufacturers in Europe, placed an order with Siempelkamp for a new particleboard plant for its location in Kastamonu City.

AUSTRIA – Despite the challenging conditions Egger Group recorded a strong increase in sales turnover in 2021/2022 financial year.

FRANCIA – The new factory is located in Troyes, the Sud Champagne region in northern France. Garnica, a global leader in the plywood industry, initiated the construction process in 2021. The first warehouse and first floor of offices have been completed, and operations began in May.

SPAIN – Finsa, Spain’s leading manufacturer of wood-based panels, achieved a record turnover of EUR 1,119 million in 2021, 34 % more than in 2020 and 21 % above that achieved in 2019, far exceeding the pre-pandemic level.
