THAILAND – On March 4, the Metro Ply Group, a leading wooden panel manufacturer in Thailand, produced the first board on its new particleboard plant at the Surat Thani site.

MEXICO – The Chilean Arauco Group, a long-time Siempelkamp customer, continues the cooperation with its German supplier: The company placed an order for a complete plant for the production of MDF as well as a short-cycle press line.

BRAZIL – Eucatex, one of the largest manufacturers of wood panels in Brazil, with operations also in the paint, varnish, laminated flooring and doors segments, announced its results for the fourth quarter of 2022 (4Q-2022).

USA – Egger Wood Products has announced the start of production on a third lamination line at its Lexington, N.C. facility.

FINLAND – Raute Corporation has signed a contract worth EUR 49.6 million with Lumin in Uruguay for the technology delivery of a new plywood mill.

BRAZIL – Dexco, the largest wooden panel manufacturer in Brazil,  ended the year with Sales Revenue slightly up in 2021.

CHILE – Arauco, one of the largest global wooden panel manufacturers, reported sales revenues of USD 1,594.0 million in the 4Q-2022, a decrease of 8.5% when compared to the 4Q-2021 .

ISRAEL – Smartech, a pioneering hi-tech company that develops innovative engineered systems to reduce raw materials use, announced that they have received a new order from Egger Group to deliver four additional Smartwax Systems in 2023 with an option for four supplementary systems in 2024.

GERMANY – In March 2022, Pfleiderer was rated very highly by Sustainalytics as one of the champions in the European building materials industry when it comes to sustainability.
