Sears announced the closure of 188 "unprofitable" stores in the United States. These closures will take place before the end of 2018.
New Falabella in Santiago
On October 11th Falabella opened a new store in Santiago, Chile with a sales area of 6,700m2. It is the 47th store in the country and 114 in the region.
New Sodimac Homecenter in Santiago
On September 6, Sodimac opened a new store with the Homecenter and Constructor formats in Santiago, Chile. This store has a sales area of 7,000m2. Sodimac now has 91 stores in the country and 255 in the region.
New Falabella in Manizales, Colombia
On August 16th Falabella opened a new store in Manizales, Colombia, with a sales area of 6,400m2. It is the 27th store in the country and 113 in the region.
Sodimac, Sao Bernardo do Campo, Sao Paulo, Brazil
On December 12, Sodimac Sao Bernardo do Campo was inaugurated in the state of Sao Paulo. The fifth Sodimac store in Brazil has a sales area of 8,900 m2. and integrates the Homecenter and Constructor formats. With this opening, Sodimac now has 251 home improvement stores in the region.
Madecentro – Ibagué, Colombia
Madecentro, Colombia’s largest retailer of boards and supplies for the furniture industry, has reached 105 stores nationwide. Last August, the specialized retailer announced the opening of its new store, the 105th, located in the city of Ibague, department of Tolima.
Sodimac – Sao Jose dos Campos, Sao Paulo, Brazil
New Sodimac store in Sao Jose dos Campos, state of Sao Paulo. The store integrates the Homecenter and Constructor formats and has a sales area of 11.200 m2.
EASY – Resistencia, Chaco, Argentina
On April 6 EASY opened its first store in northeastern Argentina completing 42 stores nationwide.
Liverpool – Coacalco, Mexico
Mexican retailer Liverpool added its 104th store with the September 10 inauguration of Liverpool Coacalco, a municipality 22km north of the capital.
