B&Q Aims for 100% Responsibly Sourced Wood by 2024

United Kingdom – B&Q, the UK’s largest home improvement retailer, disclosed that it responsibly sourced 99.3% of its timber and paper products in 2023, with plans to reach 100% by 2024.

1084BQA founding member of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), B&Q ensures its wood and paper products are certified by either FSC or PEFC, guaranteeing they come from sustainably managed forests.

These responsibly sourced products encompass a wide range, from wallpaper to decking planks, and are easily identified by the FSC or PEFC logo on their labeling.

B&Q has maintained high standards in sourcing wood and paper products for over 30 years, with this achievement marking a significant milestone in its sustainability journey.

Paul White, B&Q’s commercial director, affirmed their commitment to sustainability and the goal of sourcing all wood and paper products responsibly, emphasizing their progress towards this target in 2023.
