SPAIN- Feria Hábitat Valencia, held from 19 to 22 September, received a total of 23,174 professional visits, surpassing the most optimistic forecasts. This figure also confirms the success of the event’s return to its September date – the 2016 edition was held in February during See You at Valencia’, the interior design multi-tradefair event.
Among the professionals that visited Habitat Valencia Fair there was a high degree of internationality, as 18% of visitors came from abroad, more specifically from 51 different countries. 40% of these foreign professionals came from EU countries, while Eastern Europe was the second largest visiting region with 17% of total foreigners accredited at the fair. Latin America follows with 14% of the total visitors, Asia (10%), North Africa (9%) and North America and the Middle East with 6% and 4% respectively. As for the national visitors, the Valencian Community, Catalonia and Madrid represent practically half of the Spanish professionals that came to Habitat, with 31%, 14% and 12% respectively of the total of Spanish visitors.
With regard to the professional profiles of the fair visitors, two are especially noteworthy: the many distribution professionals (retail – furniture stores) and the number of prescribers (architects, decorators and designers) related to the scope of the project and the contract segment. Both groups account for 37% and 21% of Habitat’s visitors, although also well represented were commercial agents (12% of the total), buyer groups (12%), wholesalers-importers (10%) %) and construction professionals and / or developers (8%).
As this year’s edition has ended the Habitat team is already working on the next years edition, scheduled to take place from Tuesday 18 to Friday, September 21, 2018, which will repeat format, location and date in the calendar in view of this year’s results.
