ARGENTINA – In the first six months of 2017 Argentine wooden furniture imports reached USD 9.093.215 compared to USD 6.038.743 in the same period 2016, an notorious increase of 50.6%.
Brazil and China were by far the main supplying countries with USD 4.818.853 and USD 2.471.106 respectively in 6M-2017. Representing a growth of 26.6% for Brazil and of 70.9% for China compared to 6M-2016. The combined share of total Argentinian imports of wooden furniture for Brazil and China in 6M-2017 was 80.2% compared to 86.9% in the same period 2016.
Falabella S.A. was the main wooden furniture importer in 6M-2017 with USD 1.349.816, followed by Ribeiro (USD 1.007.697), Delos (USD 989.788) and Cencosud (USD 901.124). Cencosud was the fastest growing importer followed by Falabella, Ribeiro and Delos all more than doubling their 6M-2016 imports.
