PERU – Last August 12, and only days before its inauguration, FENAFOR, the most important supplier fair for the furniture industry in Peru was canceled by its organizers.

The decision was informed to the market through a statement in the official page of the event in Facebook.

FENAFOR in its sixth edition was scheduled to take place from August 24 to 26 in Lima. The fair, which had already been postponed – originally planned to be held in October last year – is organized by Tropical Forest and was sponsored by Mahecor.

In the statement the organizers regret the decision and argue “recent cancellations of participation of domestic and foreign exhibitors, and the current economic situation” as the reasons for making this determination.

In contrast, the sponsor Mahecor, representative of recognized brands of machinery and supplies for the furniture industry in Peru, will be holding an in-house fair aimed at professionals in the sector who called MAHEXPO 2017 and to be held during the same days as FENAFOR was scheduled.
