GERMANY – Sales of the German kitchen-furniture industry grew 10.7% in May 2017, reaching €435.8m. April had shown a considerable drop of 21.5% to €344.7m. 

According to the monthly turnover statistics issued by the German Kitchen Furniture Industry Association (VdDK) and based on data from the Federal German Statistics Office, domestic and export business contributed in similar manner to revenue growth in May. Domestic turnover was up by 10.4% to €262.0m and export turnover increased by 11.2% to €173.8m. Turnover generated in the euro zone improved by 10.7% to €131.4m.

Consolidated revenues achieved by the German kitchen-furniture industry in the first five months of 2017 totaled €1.956bn and were therefore down only slightly year on year (-0.4%). The export quota was 38.9%.
