Although this is not the first CEDI of the leading company in Colombia’s woodpanel industry, it is the first board processing and distribution center equipped with a solar panel plant that will generate 30% of the total energy needed to operate. An issue of great importance considering that in its 10.000m2 the new CEDI will be equipped with state of the art machinery with a high industrial capacity. Including four saws, four edgebanders and 2 CNC processing centers supplied by german Homag Group, an estimated USD 900.000 investment.

With its 200 employees Madecentro’s Girardota CEDI will be the company’s solar energy pilot project in its commitment to sustainable development.
