COLOMBIA – Expoconstrucción & Expodiseño 2017, held in the Corferias pavilions in Bogota from May 16 to 21, closed its XIV edition with more than 61,000 visitors, a projection of business deals for more than USD 100 million and the realization of more than USD 8 million in effective deals during the business round.

The trade fair, organized by Corferias, Prodiseño and Camacol, had the participation of 600 exhibitors, 135 of them from 21 countries, who had the opportunity to present all trends in architectural finishes, innovations, materials, equipment and machinery for the construction and interior design sector in an exhibition floor of almost 25,000 square meters.

“We exceeded our visitors expectation and more than 1,200 business meetings were held between 200 companies from the Aruba, Barbados, Bolivia, Brazil, Costa Rica, Cuba, Chile, Ecuador, El Salvador, the United States, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Sweden, Trinidad and Tobago and Venezuela, and 277 exhibitors from the fair,” said Lilián Conde, project manager at Corferias.

Sandra Forero Ramírez, president of Camacol, pointed out that the dynamics that took place in Corferias during the six days of the event, show the importance of the building activity for the branches associated with the sector and for the country’s economy. “Entrepreneurs took advantage of the fair to identify potential customers, close deals and create new business networks within our value chain. Exhibitors, visitors and international buyers recognized that Expoconstrucción & Expodiseño remains the ideal space to boost technological advances, new products and to materialize opportunities,” explained Forero Ramírez.
