ECUADOR – Aglomerados Cotopaxi obtained in March the Certification of the California Air Resources Board – CARB – for the formaldehyde emission of its MDF products through the international certifier Benchmark Holdings, LLC.
This represents a new opportunity as well as a challenge for the Ecuadorian company, which aims this year to positioning itself in the North American market.
This certification is the result of the Export Excellence Program, initiated in 2016 between the company, the Ecuadorian Federation of Exporters (FEDEXPOR) and the Institute of Promotion of Exports and Investments (PRO ECUADOR) and with the support and sponsorship of the Corporación Andina de Fomento CAF.
Aglomerados Cotopaxi already has the Forest Stewardship Council – FSC – certification and with the CARB certification, reinforces its responsibility with the environment, thus leading with best practices in the region’s board manufacture industry.
