GERMANY – Wrede Group, Interprint’s parent company, continues its successful growth in 2016. With the two divisions “Decorative Surfaces” and “Household Products” the group’s total turnover reached a new historic high of 401 Mio € (+6% vs. last year). Since 2009 turnover has almost doubled.
With this organic growth, the high investments of recent years (more than 100 Mio € since 2014) into new technologies (digital printing, finishfoil, treating) and capacity expansion (Brazil, Poland), successfully begin to turn into turnover and results.
The “Decorative Surfaces” division with Interprint Group as globally operating décor printer, increased turnover by 7% to 314 Mio €. For the first time more than 1 billion square meters of specialty papers were sold to the furniture and flooring industries. Main driver for this growth were Germany, Eastern Europe and South America. The positive order situation resulted in strong utilization of the production plants in Germany and Poland. The new facility in Brazil realized its first full year of production and despite recession in Brazil sales in South America increased significantly.
During the current financial year the group plans to significantly increase its investment volume to more than 42 Mio €. Major projects at Interprint are a new rotogravure press and hall expansion for its main facility in Arnsberg as well as construction of an engraving center with automated cylinder storage in Egorievsk, Russia.
