BRAZIL – In January 2017 and according to the IBA (Industria Brasileira de Árvores) monthly report, Brazilian domestic sales of wood panels reached 508,000 m3, a solid 7.6% increase compared to December 2015 (472,000 m3). 

Domestic consumption of wood panels in January 2017, a month with no imports, was also up 7.6%.

Exports of Brazilian wood panels in January 2017 grew 57.4% in volume from 54,000 m3 in January 2016 to 85,000 m3 in January 2017.The growth in export value was 46.2%, going from USD 13 million in January 2016 to USD 19 million in January 2017.
