The Home Depot reports sales for USD 94.6 billion in FY 2016

U.S. – The Home Depot, the world’s largest home improvement retailer, reported sales of USD 94.6 billion for fiscal 2016, an increase of 6.9 percent from fiscal 2015.

Total company comparable store sales for fiscal 2016 increased 5.6 percent, and comp sales for U.S. stores were positive 6.2 percent for the year.

For the fourth quarter of fiscal 2016 the DIY retailer reported sales of USD 22.2 billion, a 5.8 percent increase from the fourth quarter of fiscal 2015. Comparable store sales for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2016 were positive 5.8 percent, and comp sales for U.S. stores were positive 6.3 percent.

Net earnings for fiscal year 2016 was USD 7.9 billion, an increase of 13.5% over the previous year. Net earnings for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2016 were USD 1.7 billion, compared with net earnings of USD 1.5 billion in the same period of fiscal 2015.
