The participating companies had signed a definitive sale agreement in November 2016. The planned takeover had been registered for approval by the cartel office on 8 November. That approval had been a contractual condition of the sale, and enabled completion of the takeover as planned at the beginning of January.

Ungricht is a leading European provider of pre-press services and gravure printing forms, located in Moenchengladbach, Germany. Their products and services are sold worldwide. Ungricht reported sales of € 25.1 million (USD 26.4 million) in calendar 2015 and has approximately 210 employees.
