Inval receives “SME Exporter – Pacific Alliance” award

CHILE – During the IV Macro Business Roundtable of the Pacific Alliance, held in Santiago de Chile on 22 and 23 June, Colombian RTA furniture manufacturer INVAL, received the “SME Exporter – Pacific Alliance Award”.

This distinction was awarded to four companies, one from each country of the four that make up the Pacific Alliance and which have succeeded with their products outside their territories.

Industria de Muebles del Valle, Inavl S.A, specializing in the manufacture modular furniture for homes and businesses is currently present with its offer in Peru and Mexico, as well as Panama, Costa Rica, United States, Ecuador, Bolivia and Guatemala. Besides Inval from Colombia, the Chilean company awarded was Helixir Face, a cosmetics manufacturer. For Mexico, the award went to Calkins, Burke & Zaine, dedicated to the development of value-added food products and for Peru the distinction went to Algodonera Peruana, a modern mill for processed cotton.

The Pacific Alliance’s IV Macro Business Roundtable main focus is to promote trade and business of SMEs in Mexico, Colombia, Peru and Chile. This event has established itself as the perfect instance to gather in one place both exporters and importers of the four member countries, as other guests markets. This version aimed to increase and strengthen trade between countries of the Alliance and third markets is Asia and the United States. About 400 exporters and 200 importers were involved, that took part in close to 4,000 business meetings during the two days of the event. Organized by the Promotion Agencies of the Pacific Alliance (ProChile, ProColombia, Proméxico and PromPeru) this year the productive sectors of Food and Beverage and Manufacturing were prioritized.

The first day of the Pacific Alliance’s IV Macro Business Roundtable was marked by the inauguration by the President of Chile, Michelle Bachelet who highlighted the work of SMEs in trade in the region and welcomed around 600 domestic and foreign companies to the meeting, which estimates businesses for around USD 200 million.

“This space not only recognizes the talent and the work of our entrepreneurs and businessmen, it also offers the opportunity to access global markets, one of the main challenges for smaller companies precisely wishing expand their businesses” stated said the President of Chile in her inaugural speech.
