ITALY – On May 19 Biesse S.p.A. announced it had signed a contract for the acquisition of 100% of Uniteam S.p.A., a company that specializes in the design and production of numerically controlled multi-axis work centers designed specifically for the wood construction sector and for advanced materials processing. 

The 2.1 million euros cash deal will expand Biesse’s product range, allowing it to penetrate the strategically important niche sector of wood carpentry (beams and structural facades) and broaden its presence in the advanced materials, plastics and composites sector.

Uniteam is a Veneto based company founded in 1991 and present in the Italian and international markets. The Company offers advanced and customized technology solutions in three main areas:

– Interiors: CNC 3, 4, 5 axes for furniture, doors, windows and stairs manufacturing.

– Structures: CNC 5 axis for carpentry work and timber structures (XLam / CLT).

– Composite: CNC 3, 4, 5 axes for plastics, composite materials, aluminum and special alloys processing.
