CHILE – Arauco announced the integration of its timber business operations effective as of December 1, 2015. 

Under Paneles Arauco S.A. three of the company’s corporations merged: Aserraderos Arauco S.A., Arauco Distribución S.A. and Paneles Arauco S.A. (the latter remaining as the legal continuer). This merger will create a single counterparty for ARAUCO’s offer in the timber and panel business.

Paneles Arauco S.A. will produce and sell a wide variety of sawn timber, plywood, panel and moulding products, all of which have different finishes, appearances and value-adding processes to serve the furniture, construction, finishes and packaging industries.

In a notice to the market the Company explained, “We are certain that this merger will allow us to offer better processes and services, by simplifying the way we operate with our customers and suppliers.”
