Duratex is on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for Emerging Markets for the fourth time

BRAZIL – Duratex continues as one of 16 Brazilian companies selected to comprise the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for Emerging Markets, in its edition 2015/2016.

The new portfolio comprises 92 companies from 14 countries. “This recognition is aligned with the mission and culture of the company to serve with excellence, market demands,” said Flavio Donatelli, CFO and Investor Relations Officer of the company.

Each year, the Dow Jones Sustainability Emerging Markets Index brings together a select list of companies that stand out for adoption of corporate sustainability practices. The policies adopted by these companies are able to create value for shareholders in the long term, since there is a risk management associated with economic, environmental, social and cultural factors.

The presence in the Index demonstrates and reaffirms Duratex’s commitment to ethics, transparency, legal compliance, corporate governance and social, cultural and environmental responsibility in the way of conducting business. “Integrating the Dow Jones index for another year is the result of consistent work at Duratex with regard to sustainability.” Added Donatelli.
