With this change, IKEA aims to promote sustainable life at home and energy savings, as their use reduces the amount of the electric bill and will decrease waste of bulbs at home thanks to their long life, thus contributing to environment sustainability.

LED bulbs offer different shapes and sizes to fit any element of traditional sockets so that their purchase does not necessarily entail the renewal of light stands. LED bulbs also reflect light naturally and uniformly with different warm and cool colors, ignite readily and do not contain mercury.

These measures are part of the People & Planet Positive IKEA strategy which aims to positively influence the planet to save its resources and helping people to improve their daily lives.
