GERMANY – Pfleiderer Deutschland GmbH has officially commissioned its new short-cycle press 7 (KT7) production line in Gütersloh, completing the EUR 15 million project just over a year after construction began.
The facility will produce high-quality coated chipboard featuring deep textures and synchronous pores for furniture and interior applications.
Hall construction started in July 2024 and was completed within three months, followed by equipment installation beginning in October. According to CCO Stefan Zinn, the key challenge was integrating the new line into the plant’s fully automated material-feeding processes, essential for cost-efficient production.
Commissioning began in June 2025 and is now complete. The new line will manufacture premium decorative boards on a 4,200 m² area with an annual capacity of about 15 million m².
Following the launch of DeepFlow textures in 2023, Pfleiderer will expand its offering with new deep structures and SyncroFlow synchronous pores, presented to customers during the company’s Inspiration Days. Zinn highlights the enhanced realism and tactile depth of the new surfaces, produced sustainably with high recycled-wood content and Blue Angel and Cradle to Cradle Certified Bronze certifications.
