USA –   Wayfair, a leading online home goods retailer with USD 11.9 billion in annual revenue for 2024, is expanding its physical presence with a new smaller-format prototype store set to open in late 2026 in Columbus, Ohio.

The 70,000-sq.-ft. location—about half the size of Wayfair’s large-format store in Wilmette, Illinois—will feature a broad assortment of furniture, appliances, décor, and Wayfair Verified products. It will also include design service areas offering personalized support.

Wayfair said the new prototype will test how a smaller footprint can enhance efficiency and engagement while maintaining the brand’s signature experience. Many products will be available for immediate take-home, with larger items delivered to customers’ homes.

“As we scale our retail strategy, we are focused on both expansion and experimentation,” said Liza Lefkowski, VP of Merchandising and Stores at Wayfair. “We’re excited to see how customers respond to a more compact, comprehensive home shopping experience.”

The Columbus store joins other planned Wayfair locations in Atlanta, Yonkers (NY), and Denver, and will be located next to Polaris Fashion Mall.
