BELGIUM –  The annual meeting of the Eumabois general assembly took place on 18 September in Dresden, Germany, bringing together national associations representing technology manufacturers for the woodworking and furniture industries.

Eumabois, the non-profit federation for the European woodworking machinery sector, represents more than 800 companies and addresses key industry issues on behalf of its members.

During the assembly, Frederik Meyer (VDMA, Germany) was re-elected president, alongside vice-president Enrico Aureli (ACIMALL, Italy), for the 2025–2028 term. Three new board members were also appointed: Tomas Nieciag (DROMA, Poland), Antoine Vernez (HBT, Switzerland) and Mustafa Sabri Erol (AIMSAD, Turkey). In addition, Matthias Kraus was confirmed as financial auditor.

“I am confident that the new managing board will be able to face the tough season that technologies for wood and beyond are going through with the necessary skills,” said Meyer, who also thanked the outgoing board members. “In a global conflict-ridden landscape, preserving transnational relations and collaboration, though in specific domains, is an open, tangible invitation to sharing and partnering.”

The assembly also approved the federation’s final balance sheet and reviewed progress on initiatives such as the European Tool-Machine Language (ETML) project.

The meeting concluded with the announcement that the 2026 general assembly will be held in Turkey.
