GERMANY –   Egger is moving forward with the construction of its 22nd plant in Markt Bibart, Germany, backed by an investment of EUR 200 million.

The facility is set to become a state-of-the-art site, focused on sustainability, modernization, automation, and technology. As part of this initiative, the plant will also begin producing chipboard laminated with decorative surfaces.

Key milestones achieved so far include:

  • Establishment of a cutting-edge recycled wood processing facility.
  • Completion of the new production hall for the first short-cycle press.
  • Start of the installation of the short-cycle press.

The multi-stage project is scheduled for completion by autumn 2026, creating around 70 new jobs and furthering Egger’s circular, resource-efficient strategy.

The company expresses gratitude to its employees, partners, and the local community for making this progress possible. Egger highlights how every role —whether in manufacturing, recycling, or office work— contributes to building a more sustainable future.

Nature inspires Egger’s approach: processes are designed as cycles to conserve resources, recycle wood, and lock in carbon dioxide for as long as possible, reducing the company’s carbon footprint. At the same time, Egger’s creative designs set trends, delivering long-lasting products that bring value and enjoyment to consumers.

The Egger Group takes responsibility for its products, production, employees, and society, aligning its sustainability management with the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and focusing on five strategic priorities. The company also shares transparent insights into its objectives, actions, and achievements, making sustainability a commitment rather than an obligation.
