DENMARK –  Danish retailer Jysk closed the 2024/25 financial year with strong results, posting an 11.8% increase in sales to EUR 6.2 billion.

The company also gained 13.7 million new customers and reported a 12.8% rise in unit sales, supported by price reductions across all categories.

“I am very pleased with our sales results, which clearly demonstrate the resilience and strength of our Jysk concept in a retail market under pressure from global uncertainty and low consumer confidence,” said President and CEO Rami Jensen.

In spring 2025, Jysk opened its first African stores in Morocco, part of a network expansion that included 148 new openings and 303 investments in relocations, expansions, and updates to the Store 3.0 format. The company also entered Uruguay with its first franchise store, bringing its global presence to more than 3,500 stores in 50 countries.

Expansion efforts also include logistics. In Lelystad, the Netherlands, Jysk’s new 147,000-square-meter automated distribution center reached its maximum height of 46 meters. The facility, set for completion in mid-2026 and full operation by 2027, will supply stores in the Netherlands, Belgium, and France, while also handling online orders.

Jaroslaw Sobczyk, newly appointed Logistics Director, highlighted the rapid progress: “Construction is proceeding according to plan, and you can see with your own eyes how the distribution center is growing almost every day.”
