GERMANY –  On August 1, 2025, German machine and plant manufacturer Dieffenbacher appointed Stefan Zipf, Head of the Wood Business Unit, to its Management Board.

Zipf will also assume the role of Chief Technical Officer (CTO) from March 1, 2026, while continuing to lead the Wood Business Unit.

Current CTO Lothar Fischer, who has served since March 2018, will remain with Dieffenbacher in a project and advisory capacity after stepping down.

CEO Christian Dieffenbacher praised Fischer for strengthening supply chains and expanding the company’s global production network during his tenure.

Zipf, who has been with Dieffenbacher for 28 years in roles ranging from engineering student to business unit head, is seen as part of a planned generational leadership transition.

“We look forward to the momentum he will bring to our company’s development,” said Christian Dieffenbacher.
