GERMANY –  Surteco Group, one of the world’s leading full-service providers of decorative surfaces , reported a 2,5% drop in sales for the first half of 2025 (6M-2025), reaching EUR 436.3 million compared to EUR 447.6 million in the same period last year.

The decline reflects continued weak demand and the March 2025 decision to exit the impregnates business.

Adjusted EBITDA fell by 11,2% to EUR 50.6 million (2024: EUR 57.0 million), driven by an unfavorable product mix and lower sales volumes. Reported EBITDA, excluding extraordinary items, dropped by 23% to EUR 43.3 million.

Exchange rate losses from intercompany loans (EUR -7.3 million) led to a consolidated net loss of EUR 5.5 million, down from a EUR 13.8 million profit in 6M-2024.

Surteco reaffirmed its full-year forecast of EUR 850 to 900 million in sales and EUR 85 to 105 million in adjusted EBITDA, though results are expected near the lower end of the range due to macroeconomic pressures.

“As expected, the economic environment remains difficult. That makes it even more crucial for us to pursue cost structure optimization, grow outside Europe, and unlock synergies within the Group,” said Wolfgang Moyses, Chairman of the Management Board of Surteco Group SE.
