GERMANY – Homag has been honored with the “Training Champions 2025” award by the FAZ Institute, in collaboration with the analysis firm Service Value.
Scoring 93.5 out of 100 points, Homag secured eighth place in the “Mechanical and Plant Engineering Companies” category, a strong recognition of its high-quality vocational training programs.
The ranking was based on extensive social media monitoring and an online survey conducted between June 2023 and May 2025. The evaluation focused on employer appeal and the quality and diversity of training offerings.
“In addition to imparting technical know-how, we place great importance on the personal development of our trainees,” said Steffen Stippl, Training Manager at Homag’s Schopfloch site. This approach is validated by the 100% recommendation rate from apprentices and dual-study students on the Kununu platform.
“Excellent training quality is crucial for us to attract top talent,” added Panthea Behbahani, Head of Human Resources at Homag Group.
Currently, Homag trains around 300 apprentices and dual-study students across its German sites. Each year, about 100 young professionals join the company, pursuing one of 15 vocational apprenticeships or 11 dual-study programs—reinforcing
Homag’s commitment to shaping the future of the woodworking industry.
