ITALY –   SCM, one of the leading global players in woodworking technologies, continues to invest in key markets with the launch of new branches and state-of-the-art Technology Centers.

These developments aim to give customers direct access to innovative machinery, digital services, and full production processes as the company prepares for major projects in 2025 and beyond.

A highlight is the opening of the new Superfici Technology Center in Brianza, Italy—unveiled in May 2024—spanning over 2,000 m² and showcasing more than 30 advanced solutions. “It’s our most complete center outside Rimini,” said GabrielePatti, SCM Group’s Commercial Director for the Wood Division. The site integrates traditional machinery with digital platforms and IoT-connected services, including SCM’s Digital Control Room.

SCM also expanded internationally, opening a new branch in Slovenia in September 2024, featuring a 1,600 m² Technology Center to serve Slovenia and the Balkans. Further investments include a new, larger branch in Lyon, France, planned for 2025, and strengthened operations in Germany, Spain, Australia, and North America. Recent leadership appointments and increased sales teams in Canada support SCM’s growth across strategic regions.

Despite industry slowdowns in areas like DACH, SCM focuses on innovation, automation, and key account strategies to maintain long-term momentum. “We are building customer experiences that go beyond machines, helping optimize entire workflows,” added Patti.
