GERMANY – Over 100 professionals gathered in Schopfloch at the end of March 2025 for the 34th Rehau Edgebanding Symposium, hosted by Homag Group alongside partners Leuco and Riepe.
Attendees explored cutting-edge developments in edgebanding, digitalization, sustainability, and design.
Rehau unveiled advancements like “Raukantex Pigmento,” which enhances visual uniformity with effect pigments in the milling radius, and the “Raukantex paintable” program for perfect painted finishes. The company also introduced new digital tools, including the #edgeisdigital platform and the Rehau Academy, offering virtual training and edge processing know-how.
Sustainability was a key focus, with the ReTurn program demonstrating efficient scrap compression and edgeband solutions using recycled content. AI also took center stage, with ERIUM GmbH highlighting how intelligent systems can automate tasks and optimize production in the furniture sector.
Leuco presented digital tool tracking and energy-efficient cutting systems, while Homag showcased CNC edge technologies with angle flexibility and sensor integration. Riepe impressed with its Texture Finish buffing upgrade, completing a symposium marked by collaboration, innovation, and cross-industry exchange.
