Masisa Boosts Sales in 1Q-2025

CHILE – Masisa reported a 4.9% year-over-year increase in sales for the first quarter of 2025, reaching USD 70.7 million compared to USD 67.4 million in the same period last year.

Growth was mainly driven by the U.S. / Canada markets, where sales rose by 11.1% to USD 31.9 million. Sales in Chile also grew by 5.1% to USD 24.8 million, while sales to other countries saw a decline of 7.3%.

EBITDA rose sharply by 40% to USD 5.6 million, improving the EBITDA margin from 5.9% to 7.9%. Net losses were significantly reduced from USD -8.2 million to USD -4.5 million, reflecting a 45.1% improvement.

In terms of volume shipped, Masisa recorded a total of 174,000 cubic meters, up 6.7% from the previous year. Shipments to the U.S. / Canada rose by 12.5%, followed by growth other countries (5.0%) and Chile (1.7%).

These results highlight the company’s recovery efforts and stronger commercial positioning in key export markets.

Masisa operates two industrial complexes in Chile with an installed annual capacity of 877,000 m³ for board production, 350,000 m³ for board lamination using melamine papers and foils, 21,000,000 m² for board painting, and 275,000 m³ for moulding production. Additionally, the company has a total annual capacity of 210,000 m³ for sawn timber.
