GERMANY – At the end of April 2025, Homag Group reached a significant milestone in its strategic expansion by acquiring the remaining 29.4% of shares in Kallesoe Machinery A/S, thereby becoming the sole owner of the Danish company.

This transaction solidifies Homag’s position in the engineered wood construction segment, where Kallesoe is recognized as a technological leader.

Homag had initially acquired a majority stake of 70.6% in 2021, marking its entry into the high-frequency press technology market. These presses are essential for the manufacturing of cross-laminated timber (CLT), a crucial material in modern wood construction and sustainable building practices.

Kallesoe Machinery, based in Lem, Denmark, specializes in machinery for the production of laminated timber elements, such as prefabricated wall panels used in timber-frame houses and commercial wooden structures.

The final tranche of shares was acquired from the Kallesøe family, who have played a central role in the company’s growth and will continue to be involved in management. CEO Kristian Kallesøe emphasized the value of the partnership, stating: “Homag is a very reliable partner for us, with whom we can continue to expand our market position in the future.”

This acquisition reflects Homag’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its offerings in sustainable and industrial timber construction solutions worldwide.
