GERMANY – At Ligna 2025, German machine and plant manufacturer Dieffenbacher will spotlight innovative technologies and services designed to help wood-based panel producers overcome today’s most pressing challenges.
At booth C41 in hall 26, the company will focus on five key issues impacting the industry globally: raw material shortages, skilled labor gaps, cost and energy pressures, and environmental sustainability.
Among the highlights is Fiber2Fiber, a new process for recycling MDF, HDF, THDF, and wood fiber insulation boards—including post-consumer material—developed under the EU-funded EcoReFibre project. Dieffenbacher will also present its proven waste wood recycling systems and Waste2Product solutions for utilizing non-wood residues.
To address labor shortages, Dieffenbacher will feature EVORIS, its AI-driven digital platform that supports plant operators with intelligent process optimization. Additionally, the MAIER Knife Ring Maintenance Center will be on display as an example of fully automated maintenance solutions.
With rising cost pressures, Dieffenbacher will showcase technologies that improve efficiency and reduce raw material and energy use, such as the Forming Station PB, EVOjet M 2.0, EVOscreen, and the new Wireless STS storage system.
On the energy front, Dieffenbacher Energy will introduce sustainable solutions such as bubbling fluidized-bed firing systems for refuse-derived fuels and the company’s Belt Dryer, which operates with low calorific energy sources and infeed temperatures.
The company is also emphasizing environmental impact reduction. EVORIS now integrates real-time carbon footprint calculation per cubic meter of product, helping manufacturers track emissions and meet growing sustainability demands.
Additionally, Dieffenbacher will unveil its new Lifetime Service concept, including a customer portal designed to streamline daily operations and a global service network expansion with strengthened teams in Southeast Asia and Latin America.
“With the right technologies and trusted partnerships, we’re confident in the future,” said Stefan Zipf, Head of the Wood Business Unit. “At Ligna 2025, we’ll demonstrate how innovation can empower our industry to tackle today’s challenges together.”
