USA – Roseburg Forest Products has made significant advancements across its plywood manufacturing operations, investing in cutting-edge equipment and process improvements aimed at boosting efficiency, product quality, and sustainability.

Over the past five years, the company has modernized its mills and refined its manufacturing processes to optimize log utilization and enhance panel performance. These upgrades allow Roseburg to deliver sustainably sourced plywood panels that meet the demanding face-grade standards of its customers.

As part of its ongoing improvements, the Oregon plywood mill now features new lathes and advanced patching systems, positioning the facility as a leader in specialty panel production and B-face grade yields.

At the company’s Riddle Plywood location, a newly completed green-end line has transformed the plant into the most advanced veneer peeling operation in the industry. This investment also boosts production of two-step medium density overlay (MDO) panels, known for their smooth finish where appearance is critical.

In Coquille, a new butterfly patching machine is now operational, increasing production capacity and standardizing patch types.

These upgrades are supported by Roseburg’s vertically integrated model and its own sustainably managed Douglas-fir timberlands, which provide a fiber source known for producing strong, stable, and durable plywood panels.
