CHILE – Masisa, a leading company in the regional wood-based panel industry, has released its financial results for 2024, showing a slight decrease in sales but a significant improvement in its net loss compared to the previous year.

The company posted USD 294.5 million in sales for 2024, a 1.0% decrease compared to USD 297.6 million in 2023. Despite this  small decline, Masisa’s EBITDA dropped by 25.7% to USD 15.9 million from USD 21.4 million in 2023. As a result, its EBITDA margin decreased to 5.4%, down by 1.8 percentage points from the previous year’s 7.2%.

On a more positive note, the company achieved a 57.1% improvement in net loss, which decreased to USD -22.5 million from USD -52.4 million in 2023. This reduction in loss was driven by better cost management and improved operational efficiencies, despite challenges in the market.

Masisa’s management remains focused on enhancing operational performance and adapting to market conditions, with plans to invest in product diversification and regional growth. The company is confident that these strategies will help it navigate the current challenges and strengthen its position in the wood-based panel sector in the long term.
