GERMANY – As of November 1, 2024, Hendrik Rawe (34) has assumed the position of head of the “LIGNA, INTERSCHUTZ, parts2clean, and SurfaceTechnology GERMANY” department at Deutsche Messe.
He will report to Arno Reich, Senior Vice President of the “Trade Fair & Product Management” division.
Rawe succeeds Hendrik Engelking, who left the company in November 2023. The project managers for each trade fair will remain the same: Stephanie Wagner (LIGNA), Bernd Heinold (INTERSCHUTZ), and Christoph Nowak (parts2clean, SurfaceTechnology GERMANY).
Rawe holds a Master’s in Marketing and Sales Management and started his career at Koelnmesse in 2015 through a trainee program. He later moved into a Junior Consultant role in Corporate Development, contributing to M&A projects and new event formats. In 2021, he took on the role of Digital Project Manager, leading Koelnmesse’s digital transformation efforts.
Beyond his career, Rawe is also deeply involved in his community as a volunteer firefighter. In 2017, he founded the Cologne Kalk fire brigade and its youth department. He was honored with the Cologne Volunteer Award in 2023 for his dedication.
“We are excited to welcome Hendrik Rawe as head of this important trade fair portfolio,” said Arno Reich, Senior Vice President of the “Trade Fair & Product Management” division at Deutsche Messe. “His diverse experience, leadership skills, and industry connections will be invaluable as we continue to grow and innovate our events.”
