BRAZIL – Dexco Brazil, the largest manufacturer of wood-based panels in the country, has placed an order for the world’s largest EVOfuge steam recovery system from Sunds Fibertech, set to be installed at Dexco’s MDF plant located in Agudos.
This advanced system is engineered to handle a fiber throughput of 80 tons per hour (t/h) and will save over 10 t/h of steam.
The steam savings will translate into substantial benefits, including a reduction of approximately 40,000 tons of biomass required annually in the plant’s energy center.
Additionally, the new system is expected to cut CO2 emissions by around 25,000 tons per year, contributing significantly to environmental sustainability.
Furthermore, the energy demand of the flash tube dryer will be significantly reduced, allowing the plant to increase its overall production capacity.
“We are excited to enhance production facilities in South America while making a notable impact on reducing CO2 emissions. We appreciate Dexco’s trust in us to deliver the first Mega EVOfuge steam separation system. We look forward to continuing our strong collaboration throughout this successful project,” stated Marcos Zamora, Area Sales Director at Sunds Fibertech.
