USA – Wilsonart, a world-leading engineered surfaces company, recently announced the release of its 2023 Sustainability Report.

This report, now available on the company’s website, highlights Wilsonart’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and transparency in its global operations.

“We have focused on four key areas: ensuring transparency across our portfolios through rigorous sustainability certifications, innovating to optimize manufacturing efficiency, elevating our most sustainable core product, High Pressure Laminate (HPL), and continuing to grow with people who care,” said Andrew Korzen, CEO of Wilsonart. “Our efforts will help our customers build a better world and further Wilsonart’s goal of being the most transparent engineered surfaces leader.”

Key highlights from the report include:

Environmental:

  • An average of 23% post-consumer recycled content (PCRC) in HPL products, aiming for 40% by 2027.
  • A 4% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions from 2021 to 2023.
  • Savings equivalent to nearly 8.9 million trees since 2000.

Social:

  • Over 38,000 volunteer hours donated across 19 countries.
  • Promotion of employee health and wellness.

Governance:

  • Enhanced sustainability governance with a Sustainability Committee.
  • Strengthened Supplier Code of Conduct.

The report also outlines future goals, such as increasing the use of recycled content in HPL products to 40% by 2027 and advancing the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
