SLOVENIA – SCM has inaugurated its new subsidiary, SCM Adria, in Slovenia, aimed at providing specialized sales and service support to woodworking businesses in Slovenia and Serbia.
The opening ceremony on September 26 featured local dignitaries, highlighting the strategic significance of the location.
The headquarters spans over 1,600 square meters and includes two Technology Centers dedicated to artisan joinery and bespoke industrial production. With over 30 interconnected machines and a Digital Corner showcasing SCM’s IoT services, the facility emphasizes advanced technology and innovation.In preparation for the launch, two days were dedicated to training in woodworking and furniture, ensuring participants received up-to-date instruction in machinery and software.
Since its operations began in January 2024, the SCM Adria team consists of skilled technicians and sales engineers focused on secondary wood processing. The subsidiary not only aims to enhance its presence in Slovenia and Serbia but also collaborates with dealers in Croatia and Bosnia, aspiring to set benchmarks for the Balkans. SCM plans further investment through 2025 to strengthen client and partner relationships.
Pietro Gheller, director of SCM’s Wood Division, stressed the commitment to building long-lasting relationships with clients, extending support throughout their entrepreneurial journeys. Gabriele Patti, SCM’s commercial director, noted the importance of a direct presence in strategically significant markets. Lorenzo Trolese, country manager for the Balkans, concluded that SCM Adria offers a comprehensive commercial and technical partnership for regional companies.
